IIT Guwahati Junior Technician Recruitment: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Junior Technician positions. A total of 3 vacant positions will be filled through this recruitment drive. How will the Selection Process be Conducted?
The selection process will be conducted as per the criteria set by the Institute. Simply meeting the minimum qualifications does not ensure that a candidate will be called to the next stage. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a written examination and/or skill test, the details and syllabus of which will be announced later on the official website.
Candidates selected based on their performance in the examination will be required to submit all their original certificates for document verification. Final selection will be based on their performance in the written/skill test and successful document verification.
Who can apply?
Candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the Electrician trade for this position.
This ITI course must have been completed after passing the 10th grade.
At least 3 years of experience in operating electrical substations and DG sets is required.
The maximum age limit is 27 years. SC, ST, OBC, disabled, and ex-servicemen candidates will receive age relaxation as per the Government of India rules.
SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved positions will not be eligible for age relaxation. There is no upper age limit for regular employees of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
