IISER Bhopal Faculty Recruitment 2026: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal has initiated the faculty recruitment process for the year 2026. The institute has issued a rolling advertisement for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor positions, meaning interested candidates can apply throughout the year.

Recruitment in Various Departments
This recruitment will be conducted in various departments across Natural Sciences, Engineering Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

Natural Sciences includes Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Earth and Environmental Sciences.

IISER Bhopal Faculty Salary Structure:
Candidates selected for the Assistant Professor Grade-II position will receive a starting salary of ₹70,900 under Pay Level-10. Upon completion of one year of post-PhD experience, they may be upgraded to Pay Level-11 based on performance.
The starting salary for Assistant Professor Grade-I is fixed at ₹1,01,500 under Pay Level-12.
The starting salary for the Associate Professor position is fixed at ₹1,39,600 under Pay Level-13A2.

Additional Benefits and Reimbursements
Selected faculty members at IISER Bhopal will receive several attractive benefits in addition to their salary. These include Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Transport Allowance (TA), and telephone reimbursement. On-campus accommodation will be provided by the institute, and if accommodation is not available, HRA will be provided as per the rules.

In addition, faculty members will be covered under the New Pension Scheme (NPS), with a 14% contribution from the institute towards basic salary and DA.

Candidates joining from within the country will be reimbursed up to ₹75,000, and those joining from abroad up to ₹1,25,000 for shifting expenses.

Each faculty member will also receive a Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA) of ₹1,00,000 per year, which can be used for attending national and international conferences, professional memberships, and purchasing books.

Other benefits, such as LTC, medical reimbursement, and children's education allowance, will also be provided.
