ICAI Campus Placement 2026: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the schedule for the campus placement program for candidates who passed the CA Final examination in May 2026. This placement drive will be more extensive than previous ones; campus interviews will be conducted across 29 cities nationwide, with 78 leading companies recruiting for a total of 5,339 positions.
Major business hubs such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad will serve as key centers for this drive. The Institute states that this initiative will provide newly qualified Chartered Accountants with the opportunity to launch their careers at some of the country's leading companies.
6,399 Candidates Registered
A total of 7,931 candidates qualified in the CA Final examination held in May 2026. Of these, 6,399 newly qualified Chartered Accountants have registered for the campus placement process.
This recruitment drive will offer employment opportunities across various sectors, including finance, taxation, audit, consulting, banking, risk management, manufacturing, and information technology.

**Opportunities in emerging cities alongside major cities**
This time, the placement drive will not be limited to metropolitan cities alone. Companies will also recruit new Chartered Accountants in emerging cities such as Ranchi, Raipur, Rajkot, Ratlam, and Vadodara. This will enable a larger number of candidates to find employment opportunities closer to their home regions.
**Recruitment process modernized**
ICAI President CA Prasanna Kumar D stated that several new initiatives have been introduced to make the placement process more effective and transparent. These include a technology-driven recruitment system, improved coordination with employers, orientation programs for candidates, psychometric and aptitude tests, career counseling, and skill development programs aligned with industry needs. He believes these efforts will help companies find qualified professionals while offering new Chartered Accountants better career prospects.
**Packages of up to ₹27.50 lakh in the previous placement drive**
According to the Institute, more than 2,570 candidates were selected during the 63rd campus placement program held in April–May 2026. At that time, the highest domestic annual package stood at ₹27.50 lakh, while the average annual CTC (Cost to Company) for selected candidates was recorded at ₹13 lakh. Against this backdrop, thousands of new Chartered Accountants are expected to secure jobs with prestigious companies at attractive salaries this time as well.
