Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu 2026: There is great news for young people aspiring to build a career in the Indian Air Force (IAF). The Air Force has commenced the online application process for two major recruitment drives starting today, July 6, 2026. The first recruitment is for Airman Group 'Y' (Medical Assistant) Intake 02/2027, while the second is for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027.

Applications for both recruitments will be accepted from 11:00 AM on July 6 until 11:00 PM on July 26, 2026. The online examination will be held on September 22 and 23, 2026.

1. Airman Group 'Y' Medical Assistant Recruitment 2026
This recruitment is a regular Airman recruitment drive, not part of the Agnipath Scheme. Selected candidates will receive long-term employment along with salary, allowances, medical facilities, accommodation, rations, and other government benefits.

Who Can Apply?
10+2 (Standard Entry): Must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
Vocational Entry: Must have passed a two-year vocational course (including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) with a minimum of 50% marks. Pharmacy Entry: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (PCB) and hold a Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Pharm, or B.Sc. (Pharmacy) with a minimum of 50% marks. Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council or PCI is mandatory.

Agnivayu Recruitment Intake 02/2027
The second recruitment drive for the Indian Air Force under the Agnipath scheme is for the Agnivayu Intake 02/2027. Through this recruitment, the youth of the country will get an opportunity to serve in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years. The application process will be entirely online.

Who can apply?
Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates can apply for this recruitment.

Age Limit
Candidates must have been born between 1 July 2005 and 1 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). If a candidate successfully completes all stages of the selection process, their maximum age at the time of enrolment must not exceed 22 years.

Agnivayus will not be permitted to marry during the four-year service period. Additionally, female candidates must undertake not to become pregnant during this period. Violation of these rules may lead to discharge from service.
