IAF Agniveervayu: Registration begins for Agniveer Vayu 2027 recruitment, exam in March; apply by this date..
IAF Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited online applications for the Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027 under the Agnipath scheme. This recruitment will provide unmarried Indian male and female candidates with the opportunity to serve in the Air Force for a period of four years.
Interested candidates can apply only through the official website iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in. Applications submitted through any other means will not be accepted.
According to the official advertisement, online registration will begin on January 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM and will close on February 1, 2026, at 11:00 PM. Phase 1 of the recruitment process, the online examination, will be conducted on March 30 and 31, 2026.
Age Limit
Only candidates born between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2009, are eligible for this recruitment. The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 21 years at the time of registration.
Marital Status and Pregnancy Conditions
Only unmarried candidates can apply for this recruitment. Selected candidates will be required to remain unmarried during the four-year service period. Female candidates will also have to give a written undertaking that they will not become pregnant during this period.
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying from the Science stream must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Mathematics, and English, with a minimum of 50 percent marks overall, and also 50 percent marks in English.
In addition, engineering diploma holders and candidates with relevant vocational qualifications are also eligible.
Candidates from the Non-Science stream must also have passed Class 12th or equivalent examination with the same minimum marks criteria.
Selection Process
The selection process will be completed in three stages. Phase 1: Online Objective Test
Phase 2: Physical Fitness Test and Adaptability Test
Phase 3: Medical Examination
A state-wise merit list will be prepared based on the normalized scores obtained in the online examination, and candidates will be shortlisted for the subsequent phases.
Salary and Service Fund
Selected Agniveer Vayu candidates will initially receive a monthly salary of ₹30,000, which will increase annually. After completing four years of service, candidates will be given a Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh.
In addition, up to 25 percent of candidates from each batch may get the opportunity to be inducted into the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force based on their performance and the organization's requirements.
The IAF has advised candidates to be wary of touts and middlemen. The Air Force has clarified that the entire recruitment process will be transparent and merit-based. Candidates are advised to apply in time, as the last date for application will not be extended.
