Job 2026: The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Food Safety Officers (FSO). A total of 45 vacancies will be filled through this process. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online starting September 28, 2026. The deadline for applications is October 19, 2026. This is a great opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in food safety, biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry, or the medical field.

**Application Period:**
According to the schedule released by HPSC, the online application process begins on September 28, 2026. Candidates can submit their application forms until October 19, 2026. The deadline for paying the application fee is also October 19, 2026. Please note that the dates for the examination and the release of admit cards will be announced later.

**Age Limit:**
Applicants must be between 18 and 42 years of age. Age will be calculated as of October 19, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per the rules.

**Who Can Apply?**
For the post of Food Safety Officer, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Medicine.

Additionally, candidates holding qualifications such as MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BAMS, and Sowa Rigpa are also eligible to apply.

**Application Fee:**
General/UR and DESM categories: ₹1,000
OSC, DSC, BC-A (NCL), BC-B (NCL), ESM, and EWS categories: ₹250
PwD (Physically Handicapped) candidates: Free

The fee can be paid via online modes.

**Selection Process:**
Candidate selection will be conducted in multiple stages. It includes a screening test, a subject knowledge test, an interview/viva-voce, a medical examination, and document verification.
