Big news has emerged from Haryana for engineering candidates preparing for government jobs. The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released a recruitment notification for Assistant Engineer (Civil) posts in the Public Health Engineering Department. This recruitment will be conducted under the Group B category, filling a total of 50 vacancies. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from January 13, 2026.

The application process will be entirely online, and candidates will have to fill out the form on the official HPSC website, hpsc.gov.in. The last date to apply is February 12, 2026, at 5 PM. Candidates should also note that the examination fee can only be paid until 5 PM on February 12.

Unreserved Category: 25 posts
Scheduled Caste (SC): 13 posts
Backward Class (BC): 7 posts
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 5 posts (Thus, a total of 50 posts will be filled.)

Educational Qualification Required
For the Assistant Engineer (Civil) post, the candidate must possess a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution. Only degrees obtained through regular mode will be considered valid. Degrees obtained through part-time, evening classes, distance education, or from institutions not recognized by AICTE will not be accepted. In addition, the candidate must know Hindi or Sanskrit up to the matriculation level or above.

Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years, and the maximum age should be 42 years. The age will be calculated as of February 12, 2026. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to reserved categories as per government rules.

The application is completely free for disabled candidates of Haryana with 40% or more disability. For SC, BC-A, BC-B (Non-Creamy Layer), ESM, EWS, and women candidates of Haryana, the fee is Rs. 250. For DESM candidates, the fee will be Rs. 250 or Rs. 1000, depending on their category. All other candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 1000.
