HPPSC HPAS Recruitment 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released the recruitment notification for the HP Administrative Service Combined Competitive Examination-2026. What are the application conditions?
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Candidates awaiting their final-year exam results may also apply, subject to prescribed conditions. Candidates who have passed the final year of MBBS or an equivalent examination but have not yet completed their internship may also apply provisionally; they will be required to submit the relevant proof at the time of the personality test. As of January 1, 2026, the candidate's age must be between 21 and 35 years.

What is the Preliminary Examination pattern?
The preliminary examination will consist of two papers. Both papers will contain 100 questions each and carry 200 marks each. A duration of 2 hours will be allotted for each paper. Paper-I will cover General Studies, and Paper-II will be an Aptitude Test. Securing a minimum of 33% marks in Paper-II is mandatory. Selection for the Main Examination will be based on the marks obtained in Paper-I. One-third of the marks will be deducted for incorrect answers, while no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions. Appearing for both papers is mandatory.

What is the Main Examination pattern?
The Main Examination will comprise a total of eight papers. Compulsory papers will include English, Hindi, Essay, and three papers on General Studies. Additionally, candidates must appear for two papers in an optional subject.
