There is good news for candidates aspiring to become government teachers. The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA) has announced recruitment for vacant positions of Junior Basic Teachers. According to the official notification, the application process for this recruitment will commence on March 16, 2026. Consequently, interested and eligible candidates will be able to fill out the application form online via the official website, hprca.hp.gov.in, as soon as the application window opens. The deadline for submitting applications is set for April 6, 2026.

Eligibility and Criteria
To participate in this recruitment drive, candidates must possess a Senior Secondary qualification along with a D.El.Ed., a 2-year JBT course, a B.El.Ed., a Diploma in Education, a B.Ed., an M.Ed., or an equivalent qualification. Furthermore, as of January 1, 2026, the candidate's minimum age must be 18 years, and their maximum age must not exceed 45 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit.

Application Process and Fees
To be considered for selection in this recruitment, candidates must submit their applications exclusively through the online portal on the official website. Applications submitted via any other mode will not be accepted. Along with the application, candidates across all categories are required to pay a fee of ₹800. This fee must be paid online. In the event of any errors in the application form, a separate payment of ₹200 will be required to make corrections.

Selection Process
To secure selection in this recruitment, candidates will be required to appear for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or a Written Screening Test. The written test will consist of questions totaling 120 marks. Candidates will be allotted a duration of one and a half hours to complete the question paper. All 120 questions will be of the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type. A total of 600 appointments will be made through this recruitment drive.
