Postal Eligibility Criteria
Regarding the eligibility criteria, different educational qualifications have been set for each post, which are as follows:

A bachelor's degree from a recognized university is mandatory for the post of Stenographer. A speed of 80 to 100 words per minute (subject to change as per official notification) in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typing is required. Proficiency in the relevant work is also required.

Graduation from a recognized university is also required for the 17 positions of Clerk/Proofreader. A computer typing speed of 40 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi is also required.

For the 1st Driver position, candidates must have passed 10th grade (Matriculation). A valid driving license and relevant experience in driving light or heavy vehicles are also required. Practical knowledge of vehicle maintenance is also a prerequisite.

Age Limit
Age limits are determined by category. The minimum age for the General Category (UR/EWS) is 18 years, and the maximum age is 45 years. For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Himachal Pradesh government employees, the age limit ranges from 18 to 50 years. Additionally, SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates from Himachal Pradesh will receive a 5-year age relaxation.

How much salary will be given?
In terms of pay scale, a stenographer will receive a salary ranging from ₹38,500 to ₹1,22,700. The pay scale for a clerk/proofreader is ₹20,200 to ₹64,000, while the driver position will receive a salary ranging from ₹21,300 to ₹67,800.
