Railway Recruitment Fraud: A major job fraud has once again come to light in the name of railway recruitment. People are being cheated with fake appointments, forged documents, and false promises. How does this scam work, and how can you protect yourself?

Railway Recruitment Fraud: A major fraud has once again been exposed in the country in the name of railway recruitment. Young people preparing for government jobs were being cheated by being shown the dream of fake appointments. To gain people's trust, this fraud involved showing fake joining letters, forged ID cards, and even showing people working in positions such as Railway Protection Force, ticket checker, and technician.

Everything seemed so real that the candidates were convinced that they had secured a job. After gaining their trust, large sums of money were extorted from them, and after some time, all contact was completely cut off. Investigations by agencies have revealed that this entire network had been active for a long time, and the railways were being used as the biggest front to target young people. Keep these things in mind to avoid such scams.

How people were cheated

In this railway job fraud, everything was made to look authentic. Candidates were told that they had been appointed to the railways or a large government department. Fake ID cards, forged appointment letters, and even duty-related files were shown. In many cases, people were even shown working for a few days on trains, in offices, or in uniform, leaving no room for doubt. As soon as the candidate felt that the job was completely secure, they were asked for lakhs of rupees. After that, calls stopped being answered, numbers were switched off, and the office disappeared. The investigation also revealed that this network was not limited to the railways. Similar fake recruitments were also shown in the name of the Forest Department, Income Tax Department, High Court, Public Works Department, and some state governments. This is why agencies have raided 15 locations in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh.

How to Avoid Railway Job Scams

To avoid scams related to getting a job in the railways, accurate information is crucial. No government recruitment ever happens through WhatsApp calls, private agents, or promises of guaranteed selection. Every railway vacancy is announced only through the official website and notifications. Therefore, before accepting any offer, always check the RRB or the official railway website.

If someone asks for money in exchange for filling out forms, passing medical tests, or securing a posting, understand that something is wrong. Genuine recruitment processes do not involve cash transactions at any stage. Do not immediately trust fake appointment letters, ID cards, or training calls. Verify every document. Most importantly, never give your money or documents to a stranger in the lure of getting a job quickly.
