Jharkhand Home Guard Recruitment 2025: There is good news for the youth waiting to become a home guard in Jharkhand. The official notification for recruitment to 463 posts of Home Guard Corps in Chatra district has been issued. The application for this recruitment process has started from 15 September. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till 30 September 2025.

The application facility is available on the official website of the district chatra.nic.in. At the same time, the application fee has been fixed at Rs 100 for all the candidates.

Opportunity for both rural and urban posts

According to the notification issued, this recruitment campaign includes both rural and urban posts. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply. 434 posts have been released for rural home guards and 29 posts for urban home guards (technical and non-technical). Overall, 463 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment. Of these, 235 posts are reserved for men and 228 posts for women.

Jharkhand Home Guard Eligibility: Educational Qualification and Eligibility

For rural home guard posts, candidates must be seventh pass and also they should be permanent residents of Chatra district.

The minimum educational qualification for urban home guard posts has been fixed as a tenth (matriculation) pass. Apart from this, the candidates should be urban general residents.

Age limit and physical standards

To participate in the recruitment process, the age of the candidate should be between 19 years and 40 years on January 1, 2025.

Talking about height, the height of male candidates of the general, OBC, and BC categories should be at least 162 cm. For SC and ST men, this standard is 157 cm, while the height of female candidates should be a minimum of 148 cm. The chest of male candidates should be 79 cm, and the reserved category will get a relaxation of three cm in it.

Physical Test and Selection Process
The selection process includes a physical examination test, a written test, and a technical efficiency test (only for urban technical posts). The physical test will include running, high jump, long jump, and shot put.

As per the rules of the race, male candidates who complete the one-mile race in five minutes or less will be given 20 marks. Completing it in five to six minutes will get 10 marks, while candidates taking more than six minutes will be disqualified. Female candidates will also have to run a mile. Those who complete it in eight minutes will be given 20 marks, and those who complete it between eight and ten minutes will get 10 marks.

Application process

For the online application, candidates have to go to recruitment.jharkhand.gov.in.

Here, registration has to be done by filling in basic information like name, mobile number, email, date of birth, and address.

After this, log in and click on Apply Online on the related recruitment.

All information, like educational qualification, Aadhar card, permanent and current address, physical measurements, and identification mark, has to be filled.

Along with this, it is mandatory to upload a recent color photo and signature.

Finally, an application fee of Rs 100 has to be deposited online.

If any candidate faces any problem during the application process, they can apply online from any Pragya Kendra in the district. The venue of the physical examination and information related to the written and technical examination will be released later through newspapers.
