Home Guard Vacancy 2024: With the aim of strengthening the security services and providing new employment opportunities to the youth, recruitment has been announced for about 60 thousand posts of Home Guard. This recruitment will be done in Delhi and UP. More than 44,000 Home Guard posts will be recruited in UP, while more than 15,000 Home Guard posts have been announced to be filled in Delhi.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the recruitment of 44 thousand Home Guards. The rules are being finalized for this recruitment. After the cabinet approves of the rules, a recruitment advertisement will be issued. This recruitment will be done in two phases.

These changes are possible in the rules.

The provision of written examination in the rules and increasing the race from two km to two and a half km is being considered. For this, the rules of the State Disaster Management Authority are also being studied.

After applying for Home Guard recruitment, a written examination will be conducted. After this, district-wise merit will be made and the selected candidates will be made to run. There is also a consideration to make the race from two and a half to three kilometers. Let us tell you that 1.18 lakh posts of Home Guard volunteers are approved in the state, while currently 76 thousand are working.

Delhi Home Guard Vacancy 2024: More than 15 thousand posts of Home Guard will be recruited in Delhi

More than 15 thousand posts will be recruited in Delhi soon in future. Addressing the newly appointed Home Guard jawans in a program recently, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said that 15 thousand additional home guards will be added in the near future. With this, the total number of Home Guard jawans in Delhi will exceed 25,000.

It is known that in January this year, the nomination of 10,285 home guards was approved. Out of these, the Lieutenant Governor distributed nomination papers to 1,669 Home Guard jawans on 3 December.

The remaining posts will also be filled soon.
The Directorate General of Home Guards had received a total of 1.09 lakh applications for 10,285 vacancies of Home Guards. However, only 32,511 candidates appeared for the physical test. Meanwhile, some applicants had approached the High Court over various issues. The court had given a stay order on this. The statement said that the LG has also directed the Director General (Home Guard) to ensure that the remaining posts are also filled soon after taking cognizance of the court cases.
