HSSC Police Constable Recruitment 2026: With the start of the new year, great news has come for the youth of Haryana. The first recruitment of 2026 has been announced for candidates preparing for government jobs. The Haryana government and the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) have released a notification for the recruitment of thousands of constable posts in the police department. Importantly, the application process for this recruitment is completely free, allowing more and more young people to participate.

Direct Recruitment for 5500 Posts
According to the advertisement issued by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, a total of 5500 constable posts will be filled in the Haryana Police. This recruitment will be done in three different categories:

– 4500 posts for Male Constables (General Duty)
– 600 posts for Female Constables (General Duty)
– 400 posts for Male Constables (GRP)
Male and female candidates can apply for all these posts according to their eligibility.

The online application process for this recruitment will begin on January 11, 2026. Interested candidates can apply until 11:59 PM on January 25, 2026.

Important Conditions Related to Category Certificates
For BCA/BCB/EWS candidates, the supporting certificate must have been issued on or after April 1, 2025, and must be valid until the last date of application. For DSC/OSC candidates, the certificates should have been issued after November 13, 2024.  Additionally, for ESM (Ex-Servicemen) family members, the certificate must have been issued or updated on or after January 12, 2025. What are the educational qualifications required?
For all posts in categories 1 to 3, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or institution. It is also mandatory to have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level or above. The commission has clarified that no additional weightage will be given for any higher educational qualification beyond 10+2.

Age Limit
