Haryana Group C: 12th pass is now mandatory for Group-C posts, instructions to departments to change rules; See notice..

Haryana Government Jobs: The state government has once again issued instructions regarding compliance with the changes made in the minimum educational qualification for recruitment to Group-C posts in Haryana. Earlier, orders were issued on this subject, but necessary action has not been taken by many departments yet.
In this context, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has sent a letter to all the Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Chief Administrators, and Managing Directors of Boards and Corporations, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil), and Registrars of Universities, asking them to ensure compliance by amending the service rules.
12th pass now required for Group-C posts
The government has increased the minimum educational qualification for recruitment to Group-C posts from 10th to 12th (10+2). Instructions were also issued about this earlier on 21 April 2023 and 21 July 2023. Its objective is to ensure the recruitment of qualified candidates to Group-C posts and to bring efficiency in administrative work.
Finance department's approval is not necessary.
The government had asked all the departments to change their rules so that now it will be necessary to be a 12th pass for Group-C posts. For this, they only have to take the approval of the secretary of their department and, after investigation in the Human Resources Department, issue a government notice (gazette notification). The government has clearly said that no other department's approval is required for this.
Negligence in compliance, the government expressed displeasure.
When the government investigated it, it found that many departments had not yet followed the old instructions and had not changed the rules. Therefore, it has been said again that all the departments should fully follow the old orders and make necessary changes in the rules as soon as possible. Also, these instructions should be conveyed to all the concerned officers and employees so that everyone is aware of them and can follow them.
