GPSC Recruitment 2025: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the Gujarat Education Service, Class-II (Administrative Branch). This process is being conducted to fill a total of 128 posts, and candidates must apply based on the prescribed qualifications and experience.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. They must also possess a recognized degree in teaching or education, such as a B.Ed., M.Ed., or a qualification recognized by the government as equivalent. These degrees must be from universities established by a Central or State Act or institutions recognized by the UGC.

After completing the educational qualifications, candidates must have at least five years of experience in the education sector. This experience can be in either teaching or administration, and should be obtained in a government, local body, university, or private/government-funded educational institution.

Exam Pattern
Selection for these posts will be based on a preliminary examination and interview. Candidates' applications will be evaluated based on their scores in the preliminary examination, and eligible candidates will be called for an interview. Any candidate securing less than 15% marks in the preliminary examination will be disqualified from the interview. The medium of the examination will be decided by the Commission, and it will generally be held in Gandhinagar or Ahmedabad. Candidates will have to appear for the examination at their own expense.

The preliminary examination will consist of 300 questions carrying a total of 300 marks. This will include 100 questions (100 marks) from General Studies, for which 60 minutes will be allotted. Additionally, there will be 200 questions (200 marks) from the relevant subject, for which 120 minutes will be allotted.

Application Fee and Pay Scale
The application fee for unreserved (general) category candidates is ₹100, while reserved category candidates of Gujarat origin, EWS, PwBD, and ex-servicemen will not be charged any fee. All candidates must submit their applications online.

The pay scale for the Gujarat Education Service Class II is Level 8, with a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹142,400. This pay scale will include other allowances as per government regulations.
