IIT Dhanbad Recruitment: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Dhanbad), Dhanbad is recruiting for 80 posts of various faculties (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor). The application process for these posts is going on. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website. The application process started on 28 November, with the last date set as 31 January 2025.

A total of 82 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment drive, including 28 posts for the SC category, 14 posts for the ST category, and 40 posts for the OBC (NCL) category.

Eligibility Criteria: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for these posts, candidates must have a PhD degree with a first class academic record. The maximum age limit for unreserved candidates is 35 years. Age relaxation will be provided as per government norms for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

Assistant Professor (Grade II – Contract) Less than 3 years of experience after PhD.

Assistant Professor (Grade I - Regular) Minimum 3 years of experience after PhD.

Associate Professor Minimum 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years as Assistant Professor at Pay Level 12 or equivalent.

Professor Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 4 years as Associate Professor at Pay Level 13A2 or equivalent.
