Intelligence Bureau, i.e., IB, has released recruitment for thousands of posts of Security Assistant / Executive, for which the application process has also started from 26th July. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 4987 posts of Security Assistant / Executive will be filled in IB.

IB Security Assistant Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria: What are the eligibility criteria?

Educational Qualification: Candidates willing to apply for these posts should have passed the 10th class or equivalent examination from a recognized education board. Along with this, candidates applying for the vacancies of a particular SIB must know any language/dialect directed at them. They should be able to read, write, and speak that language/dialect.

Age Limit: The age limit of the candidates applying should be between 18 and 27 years as on 17 August 2025. However, reserved category candidates will also be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules.

The application fee for the candidates applying for these posts is Rs 100, and the recruitment process fee has been fixed at Rs 550. The fee should be paid through debit card/credit card/net banking/UPI/challan, etc.

IB Security Assistant Recruitment 2025 Selection Process: Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process for these posts includes an online exam, a written test, and interview or a personality test. Objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the online exam, which will be divided into five parts and each part will have 20 questions of 1 mark. At the same time, the written examination will be of descriptive type. Where the number of candidates is high, Tier-I examination can be conducted in one or more shifts at one or more examination centers.
