TNRD Recruitment 2025: The Tamil Nadu Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (TNRD) has announced a recruitment notification for 1,483 Panchayat Secretary positions. Eligible candidates can apply online through the department's official website, www.tnrd.tn.gov.in.
The deadline for applications is November 9, 2025, so interested candidates should submit their forms in time. An online application is mandatory for this recruitment, and no other means will be accepted.
Age Limit
The age limits for candidates as of 01.07.2025 are: 18 to 32 years for the General category, 18 to 34 years for Backward and Most Backward Classes, and 18 to 37 years for SC/ST, disabled, or widowed candidates. The age limit for ex-servicemen (General category) is 18 to 50 years. All relaxations will apply as per the rules.
However, ex-servicemen who have already been selected for other government services will not be eligible for this age relaxation.
Reservation Details
A total of 1,483 posts have been announced in Tamil Nadu. Reservations for these posts are based on district-wise reservations, meaning each district has reserved seats for different categories. Candidates are advised to review the available vacancies for their district and category before applying.
Educational Qualifications
For this recruitment, candidates must have passed the 10th grade (SSLC). They must also have studied the Tamil language up to at least the 8th grade. This means applicants must have a basic understanding of the Tamil language.
Application Fee
The application fee for General Category, Backward Class, and Extremely Backward Class candidates is ₹100. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates will only have to pay ₹5.50. Interested candidates can apply until November 9, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
