Government Jobs: Recruitment for 75 posts of Naib Tehsildar, the board earned more than 6 crores from the applicants..

JKSSB Application Fees: The Jammu and Kashmir Naib Tehsildar recruitment process is once again in the headlines. This time, the recruitment process is making headlines not due to the mandatory Urdu but due to the earnings of the recruitment board. The matter is related to the earnings of the recruitment board from the applicants in the Jammu and Kashmir Naib Tehsildar recruitment process. Actually, 75 Naib Tehsildars are to be recruited in Jammu and Kashmir. Regarding this, the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) had invited applications. The board has earned more than 6 crores from the applicants.
Let us know how many applications have been received for the Naib Tehsildar recruitment. What is the application fee? Has the controversy deepened regarding the recruitment?
More than one lakh applications
Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) had invited applications on June 9 for the recruitment of 75 posts of Jammu and Kashmir Naib Tehsildar. According to the information, the selection board has received more than one lakh applications for recruitment to these 75 posts. The selection board has earned more than 6 crore 43 lakhs from the received applications. This income has been made in the form of application fees.
Know how much the application fee is
This matter came to light when an RTI activist, Raman Kumar Sharma, sought information about this. It has been clarified that for these 75 posts, a fee of Rs 600 was taken from the general category candidates and Rs 500 from the reserved category.
Recruitment is stuck due to Urdu; candidates are upset.
The board had sought applications for 75 posts of Naib Tehsildar on June 9. But there was a dispute over a condition in the recruitment process, after which it was stopped. Actually, knowledge of the Urdu language was necessary for recruitment. The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) put a stay on this condition of Urdu, after which the board had to stop the recruitment. Now the candidates who had applied by depositing money with so much hard work are hanging in the balance.
Political battle over the Urdu condition
A political battle has also started over the Urdu condition. BJP has strongly opposed this condition. BJP said that this is discrimination against the people of Jammu, where their party had won 29 seats in the last election.
At the same time, according to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the records of the Revenue Department are in Urdu since before independence. If the employee does not know Urdu, how will he work? Those officers who did not know Urdu were later given time to learn this language.
Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed displeasure over CAT's decision. She said that the judiciary is also now being influenced by politics. Urdu has been the official language for many decades, and now it is being unnecessarily given a communal color. Knowledge of Urdu is necessary for Naib Tehsildar, because knowing this language is administratively necessary to work on this post.
