Ahead of the 2027 UP elections, CM Yogi has made an announcement that has caused a stir within the SP camp. He declared that 100,000 youths in the state would be provided with government jobs within the next six months. Not stopping there, he stated that the recruitment process would commence on September 18–19. This move is being viewed as a masterstroke by the BJP with an eye on the 2027 UP elections. Following the recent 'Gen-Z movement' in Delhi, the BJP has significantly altered its strategy; the party is now making a series of announcements focused on the youth. It is worth noting that by the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, there will be 350 million Gen-Z voters in the country. Gen-Z voters will also play a decisive role in the outcome of the 2027 UP Assembly elections. Consequently, CM Yogi's announcement could deal a major blow to the SP's aspirations.

On Wednesday, while in Gorakhpur, CM Yogi said, "The process of providing government jobs to 100,000 youths will begin on September 19. Recruitment for 77,000 posts will take place in the UP Police alone. Since 2017, we have provided jobs to 950,000 youths. What was the situation earlier? Job notifications would be issued, but the 'Saifai Syndicate' would step in to extort money. No young person would actually get a job. There was bargaining, courts would issue stay orders, the lives of the youth were jeopardized, and development work stalled because law and order had collapsed. No one was willing to work, the government lacked vision, and there was rampant looting, exploitation, and anarchy."

CM Yogi further added, "This was part of their mischief, and it led to an identity crisis for the state; the state was labeled 'Bimaru' (ailing). Now, I can say that our state is no longer 'Bimaru'; instead, it is fulfilling its role as a vital engine of India's growth. UP has joined the ranks of India's fastest-growing economies." Modern infrastructure—including expressways, excellent railway networks, metro systems, air connectivity, and new airports—along with new factories, is emerging today; in Gorakhpur alone, over 500 industries have been established.

Akhilesh won't stand a chance in the 2027 UP elections: CM Yogi.
CM Yogi stated, "These factories have employed 50,000 young people; otherwise, where would they have had to go? Some used to go to Punjab, others to Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Chennai. Today, no one needs to go there; they are finding jobs right in their own villages, and young people from other states and even other countries are coming here for employment. Brothers and sisters, this happens when there is honest intent and a clear policy, and when the government moves forward with decisive steps, keeping the welfare of the people—the public—at the forefront. The Bharatiya Janata Party government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has achieved these goals."
