Odisha Police has announced recruitment of constables for more than 1,300 posts, for which applications have also started. The last date to apply is October 13. Women, transgenders and candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) have been excluded from applying for recruitment to these posts.

Recently, recruitments were announced for more than 5 thousand posts in Haryana Police and now Odisha Police has also announced recruitments for many posts, the notification of which has also been issued and the online application process has also started. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of Odisha Police odishapolice.gov.in. The last date for application has been fixed as 13 October. These recruitments have come out for a total of 1360 posts, in which constables will be recruited under different battalions.

According to the official notification of Odisha Police, a candidate can apply only under one battalion and the option cannot be changed after applying. Therefore, candidates should choose the option carefully. Apart from this, it is also important for the candidates to know that women, transgender and candidates with benchmark disability (PwBD) are not eligible to apply for these posts. There is no application fee for this constable recruitment process.

Odisha Police Constable Recruitment 2024: What are the eligibility criteria?

• Educational Qualification- Candidates must have passed class 10 (Matriculation) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha or any other equivalent examination conducted by other Boards.
• Age Limit- The age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 23 years as on 1st January 2024. However, age relaxation will be given to the candidates of reserved category.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India. He must be of good character and good health and must not have any physical defect or deformity.
• The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia language. Apart from this, he should also pass the Matriculation examination in Odia subject.

Odisha Police Constable Vacancy 2024: What is the Selection Process?

The selection of candidates for the Odisha Police Constable Recruitment will be done in four stages. Firstly, the Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) will be conducted followed by Physical Efficiency Test, then Driving Test and finally the Medical Test of the candidates.

The computer based recruitment exam will be of total 100 marks in which 100 questions will be asked. This recruitment exam will be of two hours. The questions will be objective type multiple choice and most importantly there is negative marking in the exam. So answer the questions in the exam only after thinking carefully.
