The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) is going to start the recruitment process for the FE and CC departments and the Excise Department. The application process is about to begin for more than 1500 vacancies for Forest Guard, Forester, and Excise Constable.
The Odisha SSSC Recruitment 2026 notification has been released. If you are a 10th or 12th pass, this could be a great opportunity to get a government job. According to the released notification, online registration for the Forest Guard, Forester, and Excise Constable recruitment 2026 process will begin on January 7, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can fill out their forms on the commission's official website osssc.gov.in.
Forms to be filled by January 31
OSSSC had issued a short notice on December 24, 2025, providing information about the Forest Guard and Forester recruitment. The detailed notification was released on December 30, according to which the online application process will start on January 7 and will continue till January 31, 2026.

Who can apply?
Post Name Educational Qualification Age Limit
Forester: The candidate must have passed +2 Science from a recognized university, institution, or board, along with knowledge of basic computer skills. The candidate's age should be 18 years as on January 1, 2025, and should not be more than 32 years.
Forest Guard The candidate must have passed the High School Certificate Examination (10+) from a recognized board or institution. The candidate's age should be 18 years as of January 1, 2025, and not more than 32 years.
Excise Constable: The candidate must have passed the +2 examination or equivalent examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, or any other recognized board or council. The candidate's age should be 21 years as of January 1, 2025, and not more than 32 years.
Note: Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules. Details are provided in the recruitment notification.
Salary Details:
Forester - Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 under Pay Level-1
Forest Guard - Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 under Pay Level-1
Excise Constable - Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 under Pay Level-4
Selection Process:
Eligible applicants will be selected based on a three-stage examination. First, there will be a written examination. Candidates who qualify in this will be called for a Physical Measurement Test or Physical Efficiency Test. The third and final stage will be document verification. Candidates are advised to carefully read the recruitment notification before applying.
