The CBT will be conducted in two sections. Section A will comprise 80 questions related to the relevant trade/discipline, while Section B will contain 20 questions covering General Awareness, Aptitude, and topics related to CIL/SECL. In this examination comprising a total of 100 questions, each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
To qualify for the selection process, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks. The qualifying marks have been set at 45 for the General and EWS categories, 40 for the OBC (NCL) and ESM categories, and 35 for the SC/ST categories.
The results of the CBT will be published on the official SECL website. Subsequently, a provisional merit list will be prepared for candidates who have secured the cutoff marks. In the event that two or more candidates obtain identical scores, the merit order will be determined based on age, the date of issuance of statutory certificates, and the alphabetical order of their names.
Candidates featured in the merit list will be called for document verification. During this process, the submission of all original certificates will be mandatory. Failure to submit the required documents within the stipulated timeframe may result in the cancellation of the candidate's candidature.
Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the CBT and adherence to reservation norms. Furthermore, if any false information, forged documents, or failure to meet eligibility criteria are detected during the verification process, the candidate's appointment or services may be terminated.
