Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, candidates must meet both the academic qualifications and the specific sports recruitment norms for the level to which they are applying. Candidates who are currently appearing for their final examinations or are awaiting their results are not eligible. Regarding educational qualifications: for Group C (Level 4 and 5) posts, candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university. For other Group C posts, candidates must have passed the 12th grade or possess a 10th-grade qualification along with an ITI certificate, as per the prescribed rules. For Group D (Level 1) posts, candidates must have passed the 10th grade or possess an ITI qualification (or an equivalent National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by the NCVT).
What is the Age Limit?
As of January 1, 2027, candidates must be at least 18 years old and no more than 25 years old. Candidates must have been born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2009. As proof of age, candidates are required to submit their 10th-grade mark sheet or a birth certificate.
Application Fee
General and OBC male candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹500. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, female, PwD (persons with disabilities), ex-servicemen, and other specified categories must pay ₹250. A partial refund of the application fee—₹400 for General and OBC candidates, and ₹250 for SC, ST, and other categories—will be provided to those who appear for the selection trials. Please note that there are no reserved posts for SC, ST, OBC, or EWS communities in this recruitment; selection will be based on overall merit.
Required Sports Achievements
As this recruitment is under the sports quota, candidates must possess valid sports achievement certificates. According to the notification, these sports achievements must have been attained on or after April 1, 2024. For positions at Levels 4 and 5, candidates must have achievements such as representing the country in the Olympics or winning medals in specific international competitions. For Levels 2 and 3, candidates must have participated in international competitions or achieved success in events such as National Championships, National Games, or Inter-University Championships. For Level 1, candidates must have participated in designated international or national-level competitions.
