The Indian Air Force has started the online registration process for Agniveer Vayu recruitment. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official Air Force website iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in. The last date to apply is February 1, 2026. No applications will be accepted after this date. The Air Force has also announced the date of the written examination, allowing candidates to start their preparation now.

This recruitment will fill Agniveer Vayu positions. The number of vacancies has not yet been released, but a large number of young people participate in this recruitment process every year. The selection process will include a written examination, physical standards test, physical efficiency test, document verification, and a medical test.

Age Limit and Physical Standards

For Agniveer Vayu recruitment, the candidate's date of birth should be between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2009. Both dates are inclusive. The maximum age of the candidate after clearing all stages can be up to 21 years.

Regarding height, the minimum height for male and female candidates is 152 centimeters. However, a minimum height of 147 centimeters will also be acceptable for women from the hilly regions of Uttarakhand and the North East.

Physical Fitness Test

In the Physical Fitness Test, candidates will have to complete a 1.6-kilometer run. Male candidates must complete this race in 7 minutes and female candidates in 8 minutes. In addition, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats will also be required. All these tests are conducted to assess the candidate's physical fitness.

Educational Qualification

For Agniveer Vayu recruitment, candidates must have passed Intermediate or 10+2. Candidates who have studied in the Science stream must have Mathematics, Physics, and English as subjects, with at least 50 percent marks in each. A minimum of 50 percent marks in English is also mandatory.

In addition, candidates who have completed a three-year engineering diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Computer Science, IT, or Instrumentation Technology can also apply. Candidates who have completed a two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics as subjects will also be considered eligible for this recruitment. Candidates who have passed 12th grade from streams other than Science can also apply with 50 percent marks.

Application Fee

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 550 while applying online. The application will not be considered complete without the fee payment. The written examination will be held on March 30, 2026, and March 31, 2026. Candidates have ample time to prepare for the exam.
