GAIL Recruitment 2027: Maharatna company GAIL (India) Limited has released information regarding recruitment for Executive Trainee (ET) positions. This recruitment will be based on GATE-2027 scores in the disciplines of Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical engineering.

GAIL will release a detailed advertisement in February 2027 containing the number of vacancies and full details regarding the recruitment. Online applications will commence on February 17, 2027, and continue until March 18, 2027.

**What are the required qualifications?**
**Executive Trainee (Chemical):** A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks is required. Candidates from relevant disciplines such as Chemical, Petrochemical, Chemical Technology, etc., may apply.
**Executive Trainee (Instrumentation):** A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks is required. Eligible disciplines include Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation, etc.
**Executive Trainee (Electrical):** A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks is required. Candidates from relevant disciplines such as Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical & Power, etc., will be eligible.
**Executive Trainee (Mechanical):** A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks is required. Eligible disciplines include Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Mechanical & Automobile, etc.

**Age Limit Rules**
For the GAIL Executive Trainee recruitment, the candidate's age must not exceed 26 years as of March 18, 2027. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation. A relaxation of 5 years will be granted to SC/ST candidates, 3 years to OBC (NCL) candidates, and 10 years to PwBD candidates.

What are the qualifying criteria?
General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) candidates must have secured at least 65% marks in engineering.
A minimum of 60% marks is required for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates; this relaxation applies only to posts reserved for these categories.
Marks will not be rounded off; for instance, 64.99% will not be considered as 65%.

Candidates who completed their engineering degree in 2026 or are in their final year during the 2026-27 academic session are eligible to apply.
Candidates who completed their degree in 2025 or earlier are not eligible to apply.
Final-year students must meet the prescribed percentage requirement and submit their degree/provisional certificate along with marksheets for all semesters by August 31, 2027.
