Eligibility
To apply for Food Analyst positions, candidates must have a degree (UG/PG/PhD) in one of the 14 recognized subjects including Chemistry, Dairy Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, Food Safety, Agricultural Science, Biochemistry. Candidates who have passed the Food Analyst Section examination from the Institute of Chemists India can also apply. Additionally, candidates must have at least 3 years of work experience in food analysis.
Application Fee
Candidates applying will have to pay a fee of Rs. 2500 for the Computer-Based Test and Rs. 5000 for the practical examination. This fee must be paid online. The fee will not be refunded after the application is submitted.
Selection Process
The selection process for FSSAI Food Analyst Recruitment 2025 will be conducted in two stages. The first stage will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), which will include questions from Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Safety, and related subjects. Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be selected for the second stage. The second stage will consist of a practical examination, which will assess skills related to lab work and food analysis. A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in both stages, and selections will be made accordingly.
