A total of 90 posts have been announced under the Supreme Court of India Law Clerk cum Research Associate Recruitment 2026. This recruitment is being conducted by the Supreme Court of India, and all selected candidates will be posted in New Delhi. Category-wise vacancies are as follows: 40 posts for General category, 25 for OBC, 15 for SC, 7 for ST, and 3 for the other categories.

For this recruitment, candidates must have an LLB degree from a recognised university. Candidates who are currently in their final year of LLB can also apply. Candidates with basic computer knowledge may be given preference. This recruitment is also a good opportunity for fresh law graduates.

The minimum age for candidates applying for the Supreme Court of India Law Clerk cum Research Associate Recruitment 2026 is 20 years and the maximum age is 32 years. The age will be calculated as of February 7, 2026. Age relaxation will be given to SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates as per Supreme Court rules.

Selected candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 65,000 per month. Although this position is contract-based, the experience of working at the Supreme Court proves highly beneficial for a future legal career. The salary offered is considered quite attractive for freshers.

Candidates from all categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹750. The application fee can only be paid online. No fee exemption is provided for any category.

The selection process will consist of an objective written examination, followed by a subjective examination, and then a personal interview. The written examination will be held on March 7, 2026. The application process started on January 20, 2026, and candidates can apply online until February 7, 2026.
