DU Faculty Recruitment: Delhi University has released a notification for the recruitment of Professors and Associate Professors, detailing eligibility criteria for the faculty positions. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website.
A total of 56 vacant Professor and Associate Professor positions have been announced in various departments. The registration process for this recruitment will be conducted online through DU's official portal and will begin on October 7, 2025, and continue until October 21.
Who can apply?
Professor: For the position of Professor, a candidate must have a PhD in a relevant subject. Additionally, a Master's degree must have a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of teaching or research experience and at least 10 research publications. According to UGC norms, a minimum of 120 research points is required for a Professor.
Associate Professor: For the position of Associate Professor, a candidate must also have a PhD in a relevant subject and a minimum of 55% marks in the Master's degree. Candidates for this position must have at least 8 years of teaching or research experience, a minimum of 7 research publications, and a minimum of 75 research points as per the UGC.
Registration Fees: Application Fees
The application fee is determined according to the candidate's category. The fee for unreserved candidates is ₹2,000, while OBC, EWS, and women will pay ₹1,500. SC and ST candidates are charged ₹1,000, and persons with disabilities can apply for only ₹500.
How will the selection be conducted?
Candidates will be selected based on academic and research scores, which will include an evaluation of their qualifications and research publications. Candidates meeting the minimum criteria will be shortlisted, and the selected candidates will then be allowed to present their academic papers. Following this, they will be interviewed before an expert selection committee, and the final selection will be made based on performance in all stages.
