Recruitment Details for a Total of 911 Positions
The DSSSB has announced a total of 911 vacancies. This includes 10 positions for Legal Assistant, 33 for Assistant Engineer, 281 for Junior Engineer, and 587 for Assistant Section Officer Grade-II. These positions will be filled in various Delhi departments, such as the Delhi Jal Board, the Agricultural Marketing Board, and other government entities.
Educational Qualifications and Age Limit
Candidates must have a law degree to apply for the position of Legal Assistant. Additionally, at least three years of legal experience or one year of legal work experience in a government department is required. The maximum age limit is 30 years. For Assistant Engineer (Civil), a degree in civil engineering is mandatory. The age limit is 30 to 32 years. For Assistant Section Officer, a graduate degree from a recognized university is required. The maximum age limit is 30 years.
The application fee is ₹100. Female candidates, SC, ST, disabled, and ex-servicemen are exempted. Online applications will open from 12 noon on February 24, 2026, and will be accepted until 11:59 pm on March 25, 2026.
Exam Pattern and Negative Marking
There will be a single-stage exam for Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer positions. For Legal Assistant and Assistant Section Officer positions, the exam will be conducted in two stages.
Marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. There will be a 0.25 mark deduction for a question carrying one mark, and a 0.50 mark deduction for a question carrying two marks. A minimum of 40 percent marks is required for the general category, 35 percent for OBC (Delhi), and 30 percent for SC/ST/PH categories.
