DRDO Intern Vacancy 2026: The Director General (Aeronautical Systems) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has issued a notification for internships for engineering and science students for the year 2026-27. Under this initiative, students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience by working in various DRDO laboratories. The application process will commence on May 26, 2026, and conclude on June 5, 2026. Interested candidates may apply online by visiting the official DRDO website: drdo.gov.in.

**Event** | **Date**
Date of Commencement of Online Applications | 26-05-2026
Last Date for Submission of Applications | 05-06-2026
Evaluation of Eligibility Criteria | 05-06-2026 (Deadline)
Internship Duration | 6 Months (Continuous)

**What are the Application Conditions?**
Only students currently enrolled in the final year of their undergraduate (Graduation) or postgraduate (Post-Graduation) programs are eligible to apply for this internship. Candidates are required to possess a minimum CGPA of 6.5. Undergraduate students must submit their sixth-semester mark sheet, while postgraduate students are required to submit their second-semester mark sheet.

In cases where the results for the sixth (for undergraduates) or second (for postgraduates) semester have not yet been declared at the time of application, eligibility will be determined based on the average marks obtained in the fourth and fifth semesters for undergraduates, and the marks obtained in the first semester for postgraduates. Subsequently, the mark sheets for the sixth and second semesters must be submitted at the time of joining; failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the internship offer. Furthermore, candidates are required to register for the 6-month internship program.

**How Much is the Stipend?**
Students selected for this internship will receive a total stipend of ₹30,000. This amount will be disbursed in two installments. The first installment of ₹15,000 will be released upon the completion of the first three months of the internship, and the second installment of ₹15,000 will be released upon the completion of the subsequent three months. If a student discontinues the internship midway—before completing the full six-month duration—they will not be issued an Internship Certificate.
