The Border Security Force (BSF) is offering a great opportunity for athletes who have brought glory to the country on the field. The BSF has announced recruitment for Constable posts under the sports quota. The BSF has released a total of 549 vacancies across different categories for this recruitment. This recruitment is specifically for athletes who have participated in or won medals in recognized national or international competitions. 540 posts will be filled through direct recruitment under the sports quota.

The BSF has issued an official notification stating that the selected candidates will be appointed temporarily. The application process is entirely digital, allowing candidates to fill out the form from the comfort of their homes. The deadline is January 15th, so interested candidates should fill out and submit the form before this date. Applications must be submitted on the official BSF website, rectt.bsf.gov.in. No applications will be accepted after January 15th.

Who is eligible for this recruitment?
Candidates applying for these posts must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. Additionally, the athlete must have participated in or won medals in the Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships, or national or junior national level competitions. The BSF has clarified that if a player has won more than one medal in the same competition, the evaluation will be based on the highest-ranking medal.

Age Limit and Salary
The candidate's age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 23 years as of August 1, 2025.  Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per the Central Government rules. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 along with other allowances.

Physical Test is also mandatory.
During the selection process, a physical test, sports skill assessment, document verification, and medical examination will be conducted. Minimum height and other physical standards have been set separately for men and women. The BSF has also issued guidelines regarding tattoos.
