Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2025: The SSC has opened applications for 7,565 posts under the Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2025, with opportunities for both men and women.
There's great news for young people dreaming of a job in the Delhi Police. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2025. This recruitment process will fill a total of 7,565 posts for both male and female Constables (Executive). If you have passed 12th and want to pursue a career in the police department, this is a golden opportunity for you.
The application process has begun, and applications can be submitted until October 21, 2025. The last date for fee submission is October 22, 2025. Candidates will have the opportunity to make corrections to their applications from October 29 to 31, 2025.
Recruitment for this number of positions
This recruitment process includes 5,069 positions for men and 2,496 for women. 4,408 positions are reserved for male candidates, 285 for ex-servicemen, and 376 for ex-servicemen (commandos). Of the total positions, 3,174 are reserved for the general category, 756 for the EWS, 1,608 for the OBC category, 1,386 for the SC category, and 641 for the ST category.
Required Qualifications
A candidate must have passed the 12th grade to apply for the Delhi Police Constable recruitment. However, for certain positions, such as bandsman, bugler, mounted constable, driver, and sons of police officers, an 11th grade pass is also acceptable. Male candidates must possess a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) driving license, i.e., a motorcycle or car. Regarding the age limit, candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age as of July 1, 2025. Relaxations will be given to reserved categories as per government regulations.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected in three stages. The first stage is a Computer Based Written Test (CBT), followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and a Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Finally, there will be a medical examination. The written examination will consist of 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark. There will be 50 questions on General Knowledge, 25 on Reasoning, 15 on Numerical Ability, and 10 on Computer Knowledge. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Physical Test Rules
Male candidates must complete a 1600 meter run in 6 minutes, a 14-foot long jump, and a 3.9-foot high jump.
Female candidates must complete a 1600 meter run in 8 minutes, and a 10-foot long jump. 3 feet high jump.
Bonus points for those with an NCC certificate
NCC C certificate: 5% additional points.
NCC B certificate: 3% additional points.
NCC A certificate: 2% additional points.
Salary will be this much
Candidates selected for these positions will receive a Level-3 salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.
How much will the application fee be?
Candidates will be required to pay an application fee for this recruitment. The application fee for General and OBC male candidates is ₹100. Applications are free for women, SC/ST candidates, and eligible ex-servicemen.
