Delhi Govt Jobs: Many families in Delhi may find government jobs. The Delhi government has approved a policy to provide compassionate employment to dependents of those killed in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. A statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) stated that the policy to employ dependents of anti-Sikh riot victims was approved at a meeting of the Delhi Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

Who will get the jobs?
The Chief Minister stated that a key feature of the new policy is that dependents of victims who are now over 50 years of age and unable to find employment will have the option to nominate a next-generation member, such as a son, daughter, daughter-in-law, or son-in-law, for employment. The new policy is a concrete step towards expediting the long-pending employment assistance cases that have remained unresolved since the 2007 Cabinet decision.

The long wait will end.
This process had been stalled for the past 18 years due to various administrative reasons. He stated that this long wait will now end with the government introducing a clear, structured, and timely policy. He stated that all eligible families will receive prompt employment assistance, ensuring that no genuine claimant is left out. Gupta stated that, in addition to age, educational qualification relaxations have also been included in the policy.

He stated that all provisions of the policy will comply with the Delhi High Court's directives and the established legal framework. He added that a transparent and well-defined mechanism for verification, grievance redressal, and departmental allocation has been established to ensure that the recruitment process is fair, accountable, and effective.
