Deendayal Port Authority Recruitment 2026: Deendayal Port Authority, located in Gandhidham (Kandla), Gujarat, has announced direct recruitment for the post of Assistant Manager. As one of India's major ports, the Authority will conduct this recruitment under the IDA pay scale.

**Educational Qualification and Experience**

**Assistant Manager (Dredger/Tugs)**
Candidates must possess an 'Engineer Certificate of Competency' issued under the Merchant Shipping Act.

Additionally, candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a Watch-keeping Engineer on marine vessels after qualifying. Alternatively, 4 years of experience as an Engine Room Artificer in the Indian Navy, combined with 2 years of experience as a Watch-keeping Engineer on marine vessels, is also acceptable.

**Assistant Manager (Floating Crafts)**
Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institute. Furthermore, a minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance of marine electrical installations is required. Candidates who have served as Chief Electrical Artificers in the Indian Navy are also eligible to apply.

**Age Limit**
Age will be calculated as of June 1, 2026.

Maximum Age: 28 years
Relaxation in age will be provided to reserved categories as per the rules. OBC (NCL): 3-year relaxation
Ex-servicemen: Duration of military service + 3 years
Employees of Major Ports: Up to a maximum age of 55 years

Selection Process
If 20 or more applications are received for a post, the selection process will be conducted in two stages:

Personal Interview

Following the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview in an approximate ratio of 1:5.
