CRPF Recruitment for 521 Posts Under Sports Quota: Check Eligibility
The CRPF has issued a notification to recruit for 521 posts of Head Constable and Constable under the sports quota. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for this recruitment.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has announced a recruitment drive for athletes aspiring to secure a government job. The notification covers 521 posts—comprising Head Constables and Constables—under the sports quota. Both male and female candidates can apply. The application process begins on October 12, 2026, and candidates can submit their online forms until November 11, 2026. Applications must be submitted via the official CRPF website, rect.crpf.gov.in. Additionally, candidates will be able to make corrections to their applications between November 12 and November 14, 2026.
There are a total of 521 posts in the CRPF sports quota recruitment, consisting of 182 Head Constable posts and 339 Constable posts. Of the Head Constable posts, 150 are reserved for male candidates and 32 for female candidates; the salary for this role ranges from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Pay Matrix Level-4). For the Constable posts, 258 are for male candidates and 81 for female candidates, with a salary range of ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 (Pay Matrix Level-3).
Eligibility Criteria
Male and female candidates who are residents of India are eligible to apply. However, this recruitment is not for general candidates but specifically for meritorious athletes. According to the notification, eligible athletes are those who have won medals, secured positions, or participated in national or international championships in the specific sports advertised. The validity period of the candidates’ sports achievements or sports certificates is also a crucial requirement. According to the notification, sports achievements or certificates obtained within the two years prior to the date of the recruitment advertisement’s publication will be considered valid.
Merit based on sports achievements
For this CRPF recruitment, the merit list will be prepared based on the total marks awarded for candidates’ sports certificates or achievements in their respective sports. In the event of a tie in marks, preference will be given to the older candidate.
