CRPF Recruitment 2026: Good news has arrived for candidates preparing for government jobs. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Constables. Under this recruitment drive, thousands of vacancies will be filled, offering an excellent opportunity to join the security force. The application process for this recruitment is set to commence on April 20, while the deadline for submitting applications has been fixed as May 19, 2026. Interested candidates will be able to apply online within the stipulated timeframe.
How Many Vacancies Will Be Filled?
Appointments will be made for a total of 9,175 posts through this recruitment process. Out of these, 9,096 posts are reserved for male candidates, and 79 posts are designated for female candidates. The vacancies include posts in the Technical and Tradesman categories, as well as in the Pioneer Wing. To apply for these positions, it is mandatory for all candidates to have passed the 10th grade (Matriculation) from any recognized board. For certain posts—such as those of Driver and Mechanic—an ITI certificate in the relevant trade or prior experience is also required. Furthermore, regarding the age limit, the range has been set at 21 to 27 years for the Driver post, and 18 to 23 years for other posts. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.
Physical and Other Standards for the Recruitment Process
Physical parameters play a crucial role in the recruitment process. For this recruitment drive, the minimum height requirement has been set at 170 cm for male candidates and 157 cm for female candidates. Additionally, for male candidates, a chest measurement of 80 cm is mandatory. Regarding the running events, male candidates must complete a 5 km race within 24 minutes, while female candidates must complete a 1.6 km race within 8.5 minutes.
What is the Selection Process?
Candidates will be selected based on a multi-stage process. First, a Physical Efficiency Test and a Physical Standards Test will be conducted. This will be followed by a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Subsequently, a Trade Test, Document Verification, and a Medical Examination will be carried out. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in the CBT. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the written examination will consist of a total of 100 questions, carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The duration of the examination will be two hours, covering subjects such as Reasoning, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Hindi, and English. A negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer will also be applicable.
How to Apply?
Once the application process commences, candidates will be able to fill out the online application form by visiting the official website. This requires prior registration, followed by filling out the application form and uploading the necessary documents. After depositing the application fee, the form must be submitted, and a printout should be saved for future reference. Male candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹100. Additionally, candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories, female candidates, and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the application fee.
