CRPF Constable 2026: Recruitment for 9,195 Constable posts begins in the CRPF; 10th-pass candidates may apply..

CRPF Technical & Tradesman Recruitment 2026: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has commenced the recruitment process today for 9,195 posts of Constable (Technical & Tradesman and Pioneer). The registration process begins today and will conclude on May 19, 2026. Interested candidates may apply for this recruitment through the official website, rect.crpf.gov.in.

CRPF Technical & Tradesman Vacancy: Vacancy Details
A total of 9,195 vacancies have been announced:

Constable (Technical and Tradesman): A total of 9,175 posts, comprising 9,096 posts for men and 79 posts for women. These vacancies will be filled on a State/Union Territory basis.
Constable (Pioneer Wing): A total of 20 posts (Male candidates only), including 13 posts for Mason and 7 posts for Electrician. These posts will be filled on an All-India basis.

CRPF Technical & Tradesman Salary: Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be paid a salary in accordance with Pay Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100).

Educational and Technical Qualifications (as of 01/01/2026)
Driver: Must have passed Class 10th, and possession of a Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) driving license is mandatory.

Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV): Must have passed Class 10th and hold a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade, or possess 1 year of experience along with a 3-year apprenticeship.
Other Tradesmen: Must have passed at least Class 10th and be proficient in the relevant trade.
Pioneer Wing (Mason/Electrician): Must have passed Class 10th and possess 1 year of experience in the relevant trade (preference will be given to ITI certificate holders).

Age Limit
For Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 years. For all other posts (Tradesman and Pioneer): 18 to 23 years.
Age Relaxation: A relaxation of 5 years will be granted to SC/ST candidates, 3 years to OBC candidates, and 3 years to Ex-Servicemen (ESM) after deducting their period of service.

Selection Process
The selection process will comprise the following stages:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Trade Test
Document Verification
Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME)
Examination and Physical Test Pattern
Computer-Based Test (CBT):
This test will carry 100 marks and consist of 100 objective-type questions (Duration: 2 hours). It covers the following subjects: Reasoning (25), General Knowledge (25), Mathematics (25), and Hindi/English (25). There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

Physical Standard Test (PST):

Height: Male – 170 cm; Female – 157 cm (Relaxation applicable for ST candidates and candidates from hilly regions).
Chest (Male candidates only): 80 cm (unexpanded) with an expansion of at least 5 cm.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

For Driver/MMV/Bugler, etc.: Male candidates must complete a 5 km race within 24 minutes, and female candidates must complete a 1.6 km race within 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
For Cook/Water Carrier/Barber, etc.: Male candidates must run 1.6 km within 10 minutes, and female candidates must run 1.6 km within 12 minutes.
Trade Test: This test will be of a qualifying nature. It will carry 50 marks, with a minimum requirement of 20 marks to qualify.

The final result will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the CBT, provided that the candidate qualifies in all other stages. Application Fee
₹100 for male candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories. The application is free for SC and ST candidates, female candidates of all categories, and ex-servicemen.
