Coal India Vacancy: A golden opportunity has emerged for engineering candidates preparing for government jobs. Coal India Limited (CIL) has invited applications for 276 posts under the Management Trainee (Mining) Recruitment 2026. This recruitment will be conducted based on GATE 2025 scores. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website, coalindia.in, starting from May 8, 2026. The deadline for submitting applications has been set for June 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

Coal India Limited is a 'Maharatna' Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, and is recognized as the world's largest coal-producing company. According to the issued notification, selected candidates will be appointed to the E-1 grade. During the training period, the initial basic pay will be ₹60,000 per month, while the full pay scale ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000.

**Educational Qualifications**

For this recruitment, it is mandatory for candidates to hold a regular, full-time degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university or institution. A minimum of 60% marks is required for candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories, while SC/ST candidates are granted a relaxation requiring 55% marks. Additionally, it is mandatory for candidates to possess a valid GATE-2025 score in Mining Engineering (Paper Code: MN). GATE scores from any other year will not be accepted.

If a candidate's degree is graded in CGPA, GPA, or CPI format, they must also upload a conversion certificate (converting the score into a percentage) along with their application. Regarding the age limit, the maximum age has been fixed at 30 years for candidates belonging to the General and EWS categories. Candidates from reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

**Application Fee**

The application fee has been set at ₹1,180 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC/ST candidates and Coal India employees are exempted from paying the fee. The selection process will comprise shortlisting based on GATE-2025 scores, document verification, and a medical examination.
