Who can apply?
For the post of Lecturer, a candidate must possess a postgraduate degree (Second Division) or an equivalent qualification in the relevant subject. Additionally, a B.Ed. degree from a recognized university or institution is mandatory.
Educational qualifications will also be determined in accordance with the notifications of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and relevant court orders. Furthermore, candidates must hold a Chhattisgarh domicile certificate. A candidate can apply for only one subject.

What should be the age?
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and below 35 years of age.
Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026.
Relaxation in the maximum age limit will be granted to reserved categories and certain government employees in accordance with prescribed rules.
How will the selection for the Lecturer post take place?
The selection process will begin with a written examination conducted by the CGSSB. Following the examination, the department will verify documents and other eligibility criteria. The key stages of the selection process are as follows:
Written Examination: An objective-type examination worth 100 marks conducted by the CGSSB.
Selection List: This will be prepared based on the written examination results and will remain valid for six months.
Waiting List: A waiting list comprising up to a maximum of 25 percent of the vacancies in each category will be prepared. It will remain valid for nine months.
Document Verification: The appointing authority will verify the certificates.
