An official notification has been issued by Samagra Shiksha Chandigarh for the recruitment of JBT (Primary Teacher). As per the notification issued, a total of 218 posts of JBT will be recruited. As per the official notification, a total of 111 posts have been reserved for general category candidates, a total of 44 posts for OBC candidates, a total of 41 posts for SC candidates, and a total of 22 posts for EWS candidates. Applications for these posts have started. Apart from this, the last date to apply is 28 August and the last date to deposit the fee is 30 August 2025. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the posts of JBT, candidates must have completed a graduation from a recognized institute in India. Apart from this, candidates must have a DLED degree. Also, candidates must have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

The minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 21 years, and the maximum age at 37 years as on January 01, 2025. Apart from this, age relaxation will be provided to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Divyang candidates.

Selection will be done like this.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination. In the written examination, candidates will be asked 150 multiple-choice type questions of 150 marks from subjects like General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Teaching Aptitude, Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, etc. The duration of the examination has been fixed for two hours and 30 minutes. Apart from this, negative marking of one-fourth marks will be done for the wrong answer in the examination.
