Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of three stages. Passing each stage is essential to advance to the next stage.

Preliminary Examination (Prelims): This is the first stage and consists of objective (multiple-choice) questions. This is merely a screening test, so its scores are not considered in the final merit list. Passing it is simply necessary.

Mains: Candidates who pass the preliminary examination are eligible to appear for the main examination. This is a descriptive (written) examination. Only the main examination scores are included in the final merit list.

Interview: Those who pass the main examination are called for an interview. This will assess your personality, speaking style, understanding, confidence, and administrative acumen. Interview scores are also considered in the final selection.
