CAU Vacancy 2025: The Central Agricultural University (CAU) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 179 Professor, Chairperson, and other positions. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the CAU official website. The deadline for submitting applications is December 6, 2025.
The university has announced a total of 179 vacancies for various positions, including one Director of Instruction, one Dean, three Chairpersons, 15 Professors, 56 Associate Professors, and 103 Assistant Professors.
Who can apply?
Director of Instruction: Must have a doctoral degree in any branch of Agricultural Science/Horticulture/Home Science/Agricultural Engineering/Fisheries/Veterinary Science. The doctoral degree must include relevant basic sciences.
Dean: Must have a doctoral degree in a relevant subject. The doctoral degree must include relevant basic sciences.
Professor/Chairperson: Must have a doctoral degree in a relevant subject. The doctorate must include relevant basic sciences.
For Veterinary Science: B.V.Sc. and A.H. must have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. Also, a master's degree in a relevant subject must have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Associate Professor: Must have a doctorate in a relevant subject. The doctorate must include relevant basic sciences.
Assistant Professor: Master's degree in a relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. A PhD in a relevant subject and published research papers in scientific journals are mandatory.
Age Limit
The maximum age for the post of Assistant Professor is 40 years, for Associate Professor is 50 years, and for Professor is below 55 years. Age relaxation will apply as per the relevant rules.
Application Fee
The application fee is zero for SC/ST/PwBD and female candidates. The application fee for UR and OBC candidates is ₹1000.
