Recently, students and aspirants in Bihar took to the streets to protest over various issues, including TRE-4. Now, a group of aspirants has once again staged a protest in Patna. Candidates who cleared the preliminary and main examinations for the recruitment of 1,799 Sub-Inspectors (SI) in the Bihar Police gathered at Gardanibagh, Patna, demanding the immediate announcement of dates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Holding placards, they urged the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) and the state government to release the PET schedule without further delay.

**Awaiting the Next Stage**
The protesting candidates stated that they had successfully cleared both the preliminary and main exams and were now awaiting the next phase of the recruitment process—the PET. Despite the passage of considerable time, the PET dates have not yet been announced. Aspirants alleged that the repeated delays in announcing the dates have created uncertainty regarding their futures, despite their hard work and rigorous preparation.

The candidates also accused certain student leaders and coaching center operators of attempting to get the recruitment exam cancelled. According to the protesters, a cancellation would force candidates to restart their preparations, potentially benefiting coaching centers and those offering preparatory courses.

**Appeal for a Quick Decision**
The candidates maintained that while any ongoing investigation into irregularities should continue, it should not unnecessarily jeopardize the futures of lakhs of aspirants. They appealed to the Bihar government and the BPSSC to make a prompt decision, taking into account the years of preparation put in by the candidates and the progress made in the recruitment process so far.

The protesters warned that they would intensify their agitation if the PET schedule was not announced soon. They stated that they might even resort to a hunger strike if their demands were not met. Candidates are now awaiting a response from the state government and BPSSC regarding the next stage of the recruitment process.
