Candidates are flocking to Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment; more than 4,500 posts will be filled

Lakhs of applications are being received for recruitment to various posts, including sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh Police, the last date is 11 September. In the future, examinations for computer operators and clerical category will also be conducted.

A flood of applications has started for recruitment to 4,534 posts of sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh Police Department. So far, more than six lakh candidates have submitted their applications in this recruitment process. The Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, which conducts the recruitment, estimates that the number of applications can go above 20 lakh by 11 September.

This new phase of police recruitment is moving forward very fast. Although the last date for application is 11 September, but officials believe that the number of applications will increase rapidly in the last week. Both the Police Department and the Recruitment Board are making full preparations to handle this huge number.

One Time Registration

In this recruitment campaign, the board has started the facility of One Time Registration i.e. OTR. Under this, after registering once, the candidates can fill all their information and in future they will not have to register again and again for different recruitments. So far, more than nine lakh candidates have registered themselves through this OTR.

While filling the application to the board, many candidates had demanded to correct their information, on which the board has given a special facility. All the candidates can now change their details only once on the website of the recruitment board. This step will prove to increase both convenience and transparency for the candidates.

Preparations for upcoming examinations in full swing

The Police Recruitment Board has informed that the written examination for the recruitment of sub-inspector will take about three months. Therefore, the candidates will have to hurry in the preparation. Along with this, other recruitment processes of the department are also moving towards their final destination.

Next month, written examination will be conducted for 930 posts of Computer Operator Grade-A in the police. After this, the recruitment examination of the clerical cadre will be held in November. Also, recruitment is going on for 921 posts of Sub Inspector (Confidential), Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk), and Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts).

Candidates preparing for police recruitment should note

The last date for application is 11 September 2025. There is still a chance to apply. Once the opportunity to amend OTR is given, do check it till the last moment. Start preparing for the written examinations on time, especially for the posts of Computer Operator and Sub Inspector.
