Canara Bank Apprentice Vacancy 2026: Canara Bank has released a notification to recruit 3,500 Graduate Apprentices for the 2026-27 financial year. Candidates selected through this recruitment drive will undergo one year of training, during which they will receive a monthly stipend of ₹16,650. The online application process will commence on October 1, 2026. The bank has allocated vacancies across various states nationwide. Before applying, candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal; additionally, their profile on the portal must be 100% complete. The bank has clarified that applications will be accepted only through online mode.
**Category-wise Vacancy Breakdown**
Canara Bank has distributed the total 3,500 posts across different categories. The allocation is as follows: 1,541 posts for the General category, 845 for OBC, 553 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 335 for EWS, and 226 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). In terms of state-wise vacancies, Karnataka leads with 581 posts. Other allocations include 409 posts in Uttar Pradesh, 391 in Tamil Nadu, 247 in Andhra Pradesh, 240 in Kerala, and 205 in Maharashtra. Recruitment will also be conducted for 150 posts in West Bengal, 134 in Telangana, 122 in Bihar, 114 in Haryana, 110 in Madhya Pradesh, and 104 in Odisha.
**Eligibility Criteria**
To apply, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India. Candidates must have completed their degree between January 1, 2023, and September 1, 2026. Additionally, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their Class 12 or diploma examination. For SC, ST, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates, the minimum requirement is 55% marks. Eligibility cannot be claimed by rounding off marks.
Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age as of September 1, 2026; this means they must not have been born before September 2, 1998, or after September 1, 2006. Age relaxation will be granted to reserved categories as per regulations: five years for SC/ST, three years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and ten years for PwD candidates.
How will the selection take place?
Candidates will be selected based on a state-wise merit list. The merit list will be prepared using the marks obtained in the Class 12 or diploma examination. In the event of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference in the merit list.
Candidates included in the merit list will have to undergo document verification, a local language test, and a medical examination. Proficiency in the local language of the respective state is mandatory.
Application Fee
The standard application fee is set at ₹500. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are exempted from paying the fee. Other candidates can make the payment via debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS, or mobile wallet.
