BSTC Work Inspector Vacancy: Another bumper recruitment drive has been announced for young people in Bihar. The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has released a recruitment notification for 1114 vacant posts of Work Inspector. Online applications can be submitted on the official website https://btsc.bihar.gov.in/. The application process started on December 5th. The last date to fill out the form is January 5th, 2026.
According to the notification, out of the 1114 vacant posts of Work Inspector, 444 seats are unreserved. 111 seats are reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 179 posts for Scheduled Castes (SC), 13 posts for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 200 posts for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 133 posts for Backward Classes (BC), and 34 posts for women of Backward Classes.
Educational Qualification
For the Work Inspector post, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. They must also possess an ITI certificate in the Draftsman Civil/Surveyor/Plumber trade from a recognized ITI.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit for the Work Inspector post is 18 years. The maximum age limit for the unreserved category is 37 years, and for women of the unreserved category, Backward Classes, and Extremely Backward Classes (both male and female candidates), the maximum age limit is 40 years. For SC and ST male and female candidates, the maximum age limit is 42 years.
Application Fee
The application fee for all categories of candidates is Rs. 100.
Selection Process
The commission will conduct a written competitive examination for all candidates through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). This exam will consist of 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The questions will be multiple-choice. These questions will be at the ITI and Matriculation levels. There will be 20 questions each from Draftsman Civil, Surveyor, Plumber, Mathematics, and English Language.
