The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) is currently processing applications for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025. The Commission has again increased the vacancies for the CGL-4 Recruitment and Office Attendant Recruitment 2025. While the CGL-4 recruitment originally proposed 1,541 positions, the revised total will now cover 1,883 positions (the Assistant Branch Officer vacancy has been increased from 1,064 to 1,406). Furthermore, the Office Attendant recruitment process, along with the revisions and the receipt of 726 new requisitions from nine departments, will now cover a total of 5,131 positions.

This CGL recruitment drive includes positions such as Assistant Section Officer, Planning Assistant, Junior Statistical Assistant, Data Entry Operator, and Auditor. The application window is scheduled to close on November 24th. Candidates who have not yet applied will need to complete the process on the Commission's official portal.

Age Limit

Applicants must have a graduate degree and be within the prescribed age limit, which is between 21 and 37 years for General category candidates, with statutory relaxations for reserved groups. The upper age limit is increased to 40 years for OBC/EBC categories and 42 years for SC/ST categories.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a preliminary exam followed by a main exam. The preliminary exam serves as the screening stage, while the main exam determines the final merit. The notification details the pay scale, exam pattern, and qualifying criteria.

Eligibility

The eligibility framework for the BSSC CGL 2025 includes a uniform graduate-level qualification benchmark, with variations depending on the post. For roles such as Junior Statistical Assistant and Auditor, the Commission requires a graduation degree in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, or Statistics. Those applying for the Data Entry Operator position must have a graduation degree along with a technical qualification such as a PGDCA, BCA, or BSc (IT).

Application Fee

The application fee for all categories is ₹100, and applications must be submitted online within the stipulated deadline.
