BSSC: Another new recruitment in Bihar, notification issued for 379 sports trainer posts; learn eligibility..

Bihar BSSC Recruitment 2025: Following the CGL-4 and Office Attendant recruitments, the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has now released a recruitment notification for 379 Sports Trainer positions. Interested and eligible candidates can apply from October 9th to November 11th, 2025, on the official website, bssc.bihar.gov.in.

The Commission will recruit for a total of 379 positions. Of these, 128 positions are reserved for women. The category-wise distribution of vacancies is as follows: 152 positions are unreserved, 61 for SC, 04 for ST, 68 for MBC, 45 for BC, 11 for women from backward classes, and 38 for EBC.

Educational and Technical Qualifications
To apply, candidates must have completed a graduation degree in any discipline.

Technical Qualification
The candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:

Diploma in Sports Coaching in a relevant sport from the National Sports Institute run by the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (Sports Authority of India).

Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching (PGDSC) from the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, or a Central Sports University.

An equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognized Sports University or Bihar University.

Sports Achievement:
The candidate must have achieved one of the following:

Represented India in a recognized international competition.
Represented the state in an international or national championship.
Participated in recognized international competitions such as:

Olympic Games

Commonwealth Games

Asian Games

World Championships

Asian Championships

Or other recognized annual international competition. Participated in the All India Inter-University/Recognized Junior Championships/National Championships at least twice. Must have participated in the Inter-Sports Competition/All India Police Games/Inter-Railway Championship at least three times.

Age Limit: General category candidates must be between 21 and 37 years of age for the BSSC Sports Trainer recruitment. The maximum age limit for BC and EBC men and women is 40 years, for unreserved women, and for SC/ST men and women is 42 years.

Selection Process: Candidates will be evaluated based on a written examination and interview. The resulting merit list will be prepared, and appointments will be recommended to the department according to reservation categories.
